BECOME A MEMBER

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS:

*IMPORTANT: EVERYONE MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF
DD 214 OR DISCHARGE.

 

Veterans applying for first time membership must submit the following information to Post Membership Committee:

If you have served at least one day of active military duty since December 7, 1941 and were honorably discharged or you are still serving active military duty honorably, you are eligible for membership with The American Legion.

Membership Verification

The DD214 will provide verification of military service. Veterans must have served at least one day of active military duty and honorably discharged or still serving honorably.

Membership Dues

Dues are $50. Make checks payable to American Legion Post 281.

Transfers

Veterans applying for transfers from your current Post should mail a copy of their American Legion Membership Card to the address below.

To apply send a copy of your DD214 and a check for membership dues for $50 made out to American Legion Post 281 to:
