Funds raised will provide scholarships enabling high school juniors to attend Boys State and Girls State leadership programs; designed to increase awareness and knowledge of government process while learning the duties, privileges, rights and responsibilities of citizenship.
Each year thousands of these impressive youths attend this program throughout the United States. Scholarship for the weeklong program, housing, meals and transportation provide this opportunity to students identified by their schools as worthy participants. The American Legion selects the top candidates to be delegates representing our local high schools.
